Wife of Lecil Curtis Draelants daughter of Clyde Skidmore. Peggy Ruth (Skidmore) Draelants, 68, of Springfield, Peacefully passed into the arms of Jesus on May 16, 2007, at home after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a member of Northside General Baptist Church. On December 14, 1960, she married Lecil Curtis Draelants in Springfield. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She faithfully served the Lord and church family alongside her husband as a deacon's wife, Sunday school teacher, VBS director, clerk, treasurer, and Women's Missionary Society member. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband and her father, Clyde Skidmore. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21st at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 20th in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospices of America, or Northside General Baptist Church.
