Deolinda (Correia) O’Grady, 89, of New Bedford passed away November 15, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of John P. O’Grady. Born in Swansea, she was the daughter of the late Manuel S. and Sarah C. (Silva) Correia.
Mrs. O’Grady had worked as a Floor Lady at the former Kravif Manufacturing prior to her retirement and enjoyed sewing, cooking, gong for walks, reupholstering furniture and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters: Veronica MacLeod and her husband Stewart of Little Rock, AK, Deolinda Raposo and her husband Joseph of Fall River and Christine Piquette and her husband Alfred of Wareham; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John P. O’Grady, Jr and sister of the late David Correia.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 9 AM at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
