Veloy was always willing to serve as called in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was called to many presidencies of the Relief Society, Primary and MIA. Her greatest calling, however, was as homemaker, caring for her husband and children. She and Cecil often opened their home to extended family members. She found pleasure in cooking, baking, and in her vegetable gardening.
Veloy and Cecil moved from Logan to Preston for the second time in 1994, where they already had many friends. Cecil died Dec. 19, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, M. Glen Bair, Idaho Falls; and a great-granddaughter, McKenna Bodrero.
She is survived by her children: Calvin C. and Karen R. Kunz, Preston; Barton H. and Linda A. Kunz, Loveland, Colo.; Michael D. and Kathleen C. Kunz, Preston; Patricia K. and Odell E. Bodrero, Mendon, Utah; Clyde W. Kunz, and Brian Arthur, Phoenix, Ariz.; Warren W. and Michelle D. Kunz, Edmonds, Wash.; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters, Beatrice B. and Orvin McGavin, Idaho Falls; LaVon H. Bair, Bethany, Conn.; and Barbara B. and J. Kay Hawks, Moab, Utah.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, March 11, at the Preston 5th Ward building, 213 S. 2nd East, Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Webb Funeral Home, 109. Oneida Street, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church prior to services. Burial will be at the Logan City Cemetery at approximately 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
