OBITUARY.
MRS CATHERINE COWHEY. The death of Mrs. Catherine Cowhey occurred at her residence, Globe Holel, Cheapside-street yesterday morning.
Mrs. Cowhey was born in County Wexford Ireland, and came out to Queensland in the 'Earl of Granville' In 1883, landing at Maryborough. She was well known and highly respected in Maryborough and was the licensee and opener of the Globe 'Hotel. ' Newtown. The deceased married twice; her first husband was the late Mr. Terence Lawrence Creedon. well known in the Naval Brigade, (who predeceased her In I899). Later on she married the late Mr. Cowhey, who predeceased her about seven years ago. She is survived by a grown-up family of two sons and one daughter, Messrs. V. P. Creedon (Maryborough), J. E. Cowhey (Brisbane) and Mrs. F. Grantham (Maryborough). In addition, she is survived by two sister. Misses Elizabeth Frances Lyden and Mary Ann Lyden (Brisbane), and one brother. Mr. Patrick John Lyden (Maryborough). She also leaves five grandchildren. One son Mr. Daniel Bartholomew Creedon, paid the supreme sacrifice in Turkey during the Great War. One daughter. Miss Violet Frances Creedon pre-deceased her many years ago. The funeral will move from St. Mary's Church this morning at 10.30 o'clock for the Maryborough Cemetery.
