YORK Beatrice S. (Zinn) Deveney, 87, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the Brethren Home Community, New Oxford. She was the wife of Kenneth E. Deveney Sr., who died in September of 1991. Mrs. Deveney was born in York on October 22, 1919, to the late Carman and Emma (Kehm) Zinn. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, York. Beatrice is survived by a daughter, Frances A. "Susie" Levon of York; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Golliday of W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth E. Deveney, Jr. There will be a graveside service at 2:45 p.m., Wednesday, in Mount Rose Cemetery. Officiating will be her Pastor Ron Oelrich. All attending are asked to meet at the main gate at 2:30 p.m. prior to proceeding to the gravesite.
