Mrs. Wase was born in Iowa and came to California in 1920. She joined the nursing staff of Paradise Hospital, National City, and later moved to Santa Cruz, where she lived at 900 17th Avenue. She took her nurses training in Madison, Wisconsin.
Funeral arrangements are pending at White's Chapel, 138 Walnut Avenue. Pastor Frank Munsey of the Santa Cruz Seventh-Day Adventist Church will officiate and internment will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
Mrs. Wase had been a member of the Eastern Star, the Live Oak Grange, and the State Nurses Association.
She is survived by a stepson George Wase of Portland, Oregon, and a sister Zula Meyers of Saint Paul Minnesota.
Other survivors include a half brother and half sister in Missouri, and many nephews and nieces.
