US Congressman. A member of the Democratic Party, he served in the US House of Representatives from Florida's 4th congressional district for one term from March 1913 until March 1915. A journalist by profession, prior to his election he was editor and publisher of the newspaper "Dixie". In 1914 he failed to secure the nomination for a second term and returned to his publishing business. He died at the age of 51.
