One of the first physicians on staff at the fledgling Johns Hopkins hospital, he was later chief medical examiner for the Baltimore & Ohio RR.

A lengthy obituary for him ran in the Baltimore Sun on 22 December 1911. A shorter one from the Washington Post is attached here.
