A.J. Farrell Passes Away.
For Many Years Active in K. of C.
Arthur J. FARRELL, 54, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home, 1170 Fillmore Street. He was born April 3, 1885, at Abilene, Kan. He lived for many years at Herington, Kan., where he was employed by the Rock Island Railroad, the Bank of Herington, and the Herington Chamber of Commerce. He had lived three and half years in Topeka and was employed in the office of the division of unemployment compensation.
Mr. FARRELL was an active member in both the local and state organizations of the Knights of Columbus. He was a fourth degree Knight for more than thirty years and at one time was treasurer of the state organization.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose E. FARRELL, of the home, four daughters, Madeline, Pauline, Monica and Bernadette FARRELL, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. W.P. FARRELL, of Topeka; four brothers, T.E. FARRELL, of San Diego, Calif.; Joseph A. FARRELL, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Raymond R. FARRELL, of Washington, D.C.; and Charles J. FARRELL, of Topeka; three sisters, Mrs. Mary MACY, of Los Angeles; MRs. J. E. DEINES, of Olathe, Kan., and Mrs. W. H. CUMMINGS, of Miami, Fla.
Services will be held at the Holy Name Catholic Church at 9 a.m., Wednesday. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the home from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the funeral hour.
