Mr Wilbur Chinnis Brew Sr., 75, of Rt. 3. Box 271, Leland, died Saturday, June 15, 1991 in Cape Fear Hospital. Mr. Brew was born in Brunswick County on May 15, 1916, and was the son of the late Daniel A. and Annie Chinnis Brew. He Retired in 1977 from Pipefitter's Union, Local No. 785, Raleigh, N.C. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Donnie Harvell Brew of the home; a son, Wilbur C Brew Jr. of Leland, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Jimmy (Diane) Medlin of Leland, N.C.; a brother, Earl Brew of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Ernestine Tharp of Leland, N.C.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 1991, at the graveside in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Oscar Hullender Officiating. Honorary casketbearers will be Gregory Brew, Jamison Medlin, Jeffrey Medlin, William (Billy) Brew, Reginald Brew, Daniel Brew and James Smith. The Family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. Brew in Leland. Memorials may be made to the Leland Vol. Fire Dept., Leland, N.C. A Coble Ward-Smith Service.
