Majoy Elrita "Rita" Jones was born on May 26, 1952 to John Silas and Theodora McCampbell in Vallejo, California. Her formal education was through the Vallejo School District.
Rita was a sweet and beautiful person who always saw to the needs of others before her own. She was a babysitter for many children in the community. In addition to that, Rita was always willing to lend a helping hand.
On Saturday October 20, 2018, our beloved Rita fell asleep on this side but woke up in Glory on the other side. Rita was preceded in death by her parents John Silas and Theodora McCampbell, her son, Robert Coleman, her brother Robert "Bobby" Bass, her brother Erick L. Silas and sister Gladys Mullins.
She leaves behind to celebrate her life three daughters; Cassandra McCullough, Sudan Blake, and Felicia Hatchett. One son Anthony Robertson. One sister, Veronica Kaiser. Her grandchildren; Tianna Jackson, Thainesha Blake, Jamil Blake, Hakeem Blake, Robert Batiste, Kadesha Dukes, Delcaria McCullough,Delcarlo McCullough, Cassie McCullough, Jarnae Coleman, Jendura Coleman, and Tifariah Hatchett. And a great host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
