Vance - Timothy P. Boykin, 66, husband of Kathy Boykin, entered into eternal rest Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 26, at Avinger Funeral Home, with Dr. Martin Wiles officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gerizim United Methodist Church cemetery. He was born Aug. 12, 1952, in Orangeburg, son of the late Roy and Connie Martin Boykin. Tim enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and golfing. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Tim was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a 1970 graduate of Holly Hill High School and a 1972 graduate of OCtech with an associate degree in tool and die. He will be greatly missed by all. Survivors are his wife of 45 years; a son, Ryan (Tarah) Boykin of Florence; grandchildren Mia, Reese and Connor Boykin, all of Florence; brother Shawn (Dianne) Boykin of Summerville; sister Brenda (John) Outlaw of Sumter; and nephew and niece Clark and Olivia Boykin of Summerville. Memorials may be made to Gerizim UMC, 1432 Vance Road, Vance, SC 29163.
