She gained prominence by posting cover songs on her YouTube channel, where she showcased her vocal talent. One of her significant breakthroughs came when she competed on the sixth season of the reality TV show "The Voice" in 2014. She finished in third place on the show, which helped to boost her music career.


After "The Voice," Christina released her debut studio album titled "With Love" in 2013, followed by an EP called "Side A" in 2016. In the same year, she debuted in acting, making her only motion-picture appearance in "The Matchbreaker."


Tragically, Christina Grimmie's life was cut short when she was shot and killed by an assailant while signing autographs for fans after a concert in Orlando. In June 2017, Grimmie's second and final album, "All Is Vanity," was posthumously released.

Following Christina's death, her family received an outpouring of emotional and financial support that was a huge part of their healing. As a result, her father, mother, and brother founded the Christina Grimmie Foundation in 2017 to help others who may not receive that kind of support.
