Price, Glenadene 10/16/1921 - 11/21/2018 On Wednesday afternoon, November 21, 2018, Glenadene Mae Price passed away peacefully of natural causes at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, WA. She was surrounded by her immediate family. Glenadene is survived by her son, Michael Allan Price, and daughter-in-law Theresa. She was born October 16, 1921 to parents William and Clara Cartwright of Chatham, Ontario, Canada. She had four siblings, Ethel, Leslie, Merle, and Marion. Following the death of her parents, she was adopted by Ira and Flora (Mayer) Stanfield of Detroit and Munith, MI. During her rich and fruitful life of 97 years, Glenadene lovingly touched many lives as a wife, mother, and friend. Glenadene was married to Lloyd J. Price of Munith, MI on September 20, 1941, and they lived and loved for more than 60 years together until Lloyd's passing in 2002. She started her career working for several years as a bookkeeper and teller for the Farmers State Bank in Munith, MI. She lived in many places throughout her life, including Detroit, Jackson, and Traverse City, MI, and finally in Kirkland and Spokane, WA. She survived many hardships and challenges including the Great Depression and WWII and saw many changes in our country and world and even at the end of her life, could vividly recall so many of these historic events in perfect clarity. She was a devoted and loving mother, dedicated to raising Michael to be a good son and caring human being. She will be dearly missed by all that were blessed to know her. Glenadene's wishes were to have a small ceremony at the graveside for those that remember her. Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Munith Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Munith United Methodist Church or the Munith Cemetery Fund. Arrangements by Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home in Stockbridge, MI.
