Obituary

Henry Huntley Outlaw, Jr., 82, went to be with his Lord on November 23rd, 2018, after an extended illness at Merritt Health Hospital in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Buster was born in Belzoni on October 23rd, 1936 to Henry Huntley Outlaw, Sr. and Amye Ruth Mitchell Outlaw. He was a life long resident of Belzoni and Humphreys County.

Henry Huntley Outlaw Jr. was known by many names, Buster, Chief, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Father-in-law, Sergeant and Friend. He gladly answered to them all and was loved by many throughout the State of Mississippi.

Mr. Outlaw was a Fire Fighter for 58 years, serving a good portion of that time as Chief of the Belzoni, Mississippi before becoming the current City Inspector. During this time he also served as Vice President of the Mississippi Fire Fighters Association. He served in the Army National Guard from 1954 - 1963 being discharged as a Sergeant First Class. Beside all these, he was an active Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Belzoni.

Henry was predeceased by his parents Henry and Amey Outlaw, son, James Barry Outlaw and brother, Thomas Mitchell Outlaw. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Mae Outlaw, sons, Henry (Missy) Huntley Outlaw lll of Belzoni and William Olander (Anderia) Outlaw of Coila, Mississippi, brother, Michael Sherrel Outlaw of Belzoni, sister, Dolly Ruth Outlaw Williamson of Long Beach, as well as the greatest gift to him, grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Outlaw Johnson, Blair (Jonathon) Outlaw McKay, and Natalie Outlaw and his great grandchildren John Barrett McKay, Cullrn McKay, Landon Jones, Ryland Jones, and Easton Johnson

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 26th at First Baptist Church of Belzoni, Mississippi with visitation starting at Noon followed by the service at 2 PM.. Burial will follow at Belzoni City Cemetery . Reverend George Johnson will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Outlaw, Terry Williamson, Matthew Johnson, Talm Kilpatrick and John Bariola. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church.
