She was born in Emanuel County, GA and was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Scott. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Old Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughter in law, David Scott of Bloomingdale, GA and Mitchell and Diane Scott of Hallsville, Texas; two sisters, Betty C. Smith of Savannah, GA, and June C. Neel, of Houston, Texas; a granddaughter, Kandra Scott of Raleigh, NC, and a number of nieces and nephews.
