In 1887, John T. Reed remarried to a widow, Mrs. Cordelia J. (Gray) Clayton. They moved to Prentiss Co., Mississippi along with several of John's adult sons. John & Cordelia Reed appear on the 1900 Mississippi Census, Prentiss Co., Cross Road. They also had childen together.
