Bertie L Newman, Aurora, MO, daughter of B. T. and Savanah (Culp) Arnold, was born on January 18, 1935 in Leachville, AR and departed this life on November 25, 2018, at 3:10 a.m. at the age of 83.
Bertie was a homemaker and a member of Believers Tabernacle, Nixa, MO, who had lived in the area for the past 30 years, coming from Thayer, MO.
Bertie was preceded in death by her parents, B. T. and Savanah Arnold; husband, Clifton Newman and eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: four sons, Johnny Newman and his wife, Sharon of Nixa, MO, Tommy Newman and his wife, René of Aurora, MO, David Newman and his wife, Karen of Jeffersonville, IN and Micah Newman and his wife, Lisa of Henryville, IN; two daughters, Dona Teague and her husband, Keith of Aurora, MO and Michaela Anderson and her husband, William of Dixon, TN; two brothers, James Arnold and his wife, Barbara of Creal Springs, IL and Gene Arnold and his wife, Phyllis of Poplar Bluff, MO; fourteen grandchildren, Angela Teague, Jessica Teague, Austin Teague, John Daniel Newman, Joseph Newman, Christa Cook, Anthony Newman, Priscilla Bottazzi, Isaiah Newman, Joshua Newman, Ryan Newman, Josiah Newman, Amber Tucker and Dillan Anderson; seventeen great grandchildren; one great, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday, November 30, 2018 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO with Brother Paul Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
