Clarence Fritz ACKERMANN, son of a farmer, Adolph L.and Ida F. (RITTIMANN) ACKERMANN, died on 29 November 2004 in Austin, Texas. He was born on 21 October 1922 in Bexar County, Texas.

Clarence served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a prisoner of war in Germany from May 1944 until the end of the war. Following the end of World War II, he took a job with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and worked there 45 years, after which he retired.

Clarence was past president of the Rotary Club of Seguin, Texas and a life member of a POW organization. He also served on several church boards and committees.
