New Rochelle - Joseph L. Acocella, Sr., R.Ph., a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, and recently of Clarksville TN, died on November 24, 2018. He was born on September 18, 1938 in Bronx NY to the late Concetta "Lillian" J. (Tornillo) and Gabriel Acocella. He married the love of his life, the late Maryann (Camardella) Acocella on June 18, 1961. He is preceded in death by his wife Maryann C., children; Christine A. Adler, Joseph L Jr., and Victoria L. Acocella. He is survived by his daughters; Annamarie (Michael) Cinelli and Suzanne (Richard) Feltenstein, grandchildren; Charles and Stephen Adler, Michael and Katherine Cinelli and Jennifer Feltenstein, sister-in-law Barbara Acosta, First cousins held dear to him as close as brothers Joseph P., Angelo and Pat Acocella and several nieces and nephews. He was 1st Vice President to his 1960 graduating class from the Fordham University College of Pharmacy. He was the co-owner of Wilson Pharmacy, New Rochelle NY, from 1966 to 2005 along with his wife, Maryann C. In 1960, he became an active member of the Italian Pharmaceutical Society, in which he held several offices including President and Chairman of the Board. He was also a member of the NYS Pharmaceutical Society, and the Westchester & Rockland Society Of Pharmacists. He was an active member of Holy Family Church. Visitation Friday from 4-8PM at Lloyd Maxcy, and also on Saturday at Holy Family Church from 01:15pm-2pm, with Funeral Mass at 2pm. Interment will be on Monday at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla.
