Mr. Allen Max Bowers, age 71, went to be with the Lord, November 28, 2018. He was born December 21, 1946 in Forsyth County to the late Richard Van Bowers and Ruby Minton Bowers. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Military Police officer. He faithfully attended Freedom Baptist Church for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Wayne Bowers, and one great-grandchild, Tuff Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Deborrah Thompson Bowers; three children, Sonya Webster (Rodney), Tonya Joyce (Terry) and Mark Bowers; ten grandchildren, Brandon Lawson, Brooke Johnson, Ashleigh Myers, Kameron Blake Bowers, Hollie Bowers, Cole Price, Chase Joyce (Laura), Jonathan Joyce, Nathan Joyce, and Sommer Joyce; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy Bowers (Teresa) and David Bowers; two sisters, Angela Noah (James) and Cindy Williams (Lee) and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Jon White officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
