Funeral services for Fountain L. Hargis, 83, a former resident of Santa Cruz, were conducted May 31 at the Todd Memorial North chapel in Pomona. Interment followed in the Pomona cemetery. Hargis, who moved to Pomona in 1951, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ona L. Hargis, and a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Jewel) Tidwell, Pomona. A native of Lafayette. Tenn., Hargis, who died May 27 after a short illness, moved to California in 1929.
