Frank was the son of Dr. Edward & Mary Jane (Forester) Jaques, both natives of Canada. He was a tea importer in Chicago. He married in Chicago on March 5, 1873, to Abbie Louise Wight Everett, daughter of Aaron Emilius & Abigail Lovell (Wight) Everett of Boston and Dedham, Mass. In some records he says he was born in Canada or Massachusetts. His younger brother Harry B. Jaques lived with them in the 1880 census. They had six children, with five alive by 1900.
