A 26-year veteran in the US Army Reserves. He worked with South Carolina Electric and Gas as a field supervisor for 35 years. In 1962, he joined the armed forces and was assigned to the U.S. Army Reserves stationed in Fort Jackson, SC. In 1970, he was assigned drill sergeant and when he retired in 1988, he reached the rank of Master Sergeant (MSG E-8). “Bull” was an adventurous and passionate man who lived life to the fullest and sometimes on the edge. He obtained his private pilot’s license in 1968 and was a multi-champion cross country Enduro motorcycle racer. In his later years, Bull spent many hours on the road riding Harley Davidson motorcycles across the country with friends. His other hobbies included hunting, gun and knife collecting, photography and RV camping. He was married to Jewel Young Crim in 1988 until her death October 23rd 2017.
He is survived by his daughter Vicki Michelle Hobbs, son-in-law Monty Hobbs, granddaughter Caitlin B. Hobbs, grandson Parker A. Hobbs and his sister Connie J. Gray.
A viewing will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at Barr-Price Funeral Home in Lexington, SC. Burial will be immediately following at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
