Mrs. Sarah Gruber, aged 68, mother of Mrs. J. Leroy Adair of this city, died in Clayton Thursday afternoon after an illness of several weeks of influenza. Mrs. Gruber was born in North Carolina but had been a resident of Adams county ever since she was a young woman. Her husband. Andrew Gruber, died about a year ago. There survive Mrs. Clara Pevehouse, Grover Gruber and Mrs. Effie Craig of Clayton; Otis Gruber of Manhattan, Kas., and Mrs. Maude Adair of Quincy, wife of the former state's attorney.
