She served during the Korean War in the US Army Womens Corps. She graduated in 1978 with a Bachelors Degree from Columbus State University and received her Masters in 1980 from Troy University.
She was predeceased by her husband, SGT Bernard James Creed, who was KIA in Vietnam; her parents, John Harrington and Annie Harrington; her sister, Frances C Harrington Parker; and her brothers, Daniel J Harrington, John S Harrington, James F Harrington, Michael B Harrington, Franklin J Harrington, Cornelius "Neil" A Harrington (1925-2015), and Lawrence B Harrington. She was survived by four sons; two daughters; two daughters-in-law; a son-in-law; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
Visitation was held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. A Roman Catholic Mass and service to celebrate her life was held at St Anne Catholic Church, Columbus, GA on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Interment on January 17, 2019.
