Adaline C. Fluke, age 79, a resident of Valley View Haven, Belleville and formerly of 5 Summit Manor, Lewistown, died Thursday at the nursing home. Born March 15, 1925 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Elmer F. Charles, Sr., and Mildred M. (Patton) Charles. Her husband, Charles D. Fluke, preceded her in death on September 23, 1990. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. James (Mary) Hubler of Port Royal, Mrs. Dennis (Kathy L.) Weaver, Mrs. John (Joann) Sipe, both of Lewistown and Elizabeth Ann Fluke of Port Royal; two brothers, John H. Charles of Elkin, NC and Elmer F. Charles, Jr. of Lewistown. Also surviving are three grandsons and a great-grandson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Kathy Jo Felmlee and Rebecca Hubler; a brother, John Schmidt and two sisters, Betty Haag and Mary Wolfe. She was a registered nurse at F. W. Black Hospital until 1972, and then at Lewistown Hospital, retiring in 1990. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at Valley View Haven Chapel, with Rev. Galen Sharp officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at the chapel. Memorials may be made to Valley View Haven, 4702 E. Main Street, Belleville, PA 17004.
