Norman C. Heppner, 72, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2013 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Blauvelt, NY to the late Frederick and Edna Heppner. Norman proudly served with the United States Navy. He retired from Suburban Propane after 34 years. He was currently working for the Guilderland Central School District as a special needs bus driver, who was much loved by his "kids". Norman loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, of 41 years, Sadie V. Heppner, his brother Frederick Heppner and his sister Evelyn Martin.

Norman is survived by his beloved wife of over 6 years; Faye Heppner; his cherished children, Jean Wolff, Julie (Jarrod) Staubach. He is the adored grandfather of Joseph A., Joseph M., Seamus and Nicolas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany NY 12205 c/o the Hospice Inn at St. Peters Hospital or to the Leukemia & lymphoma Society Upstate New York/Vermont Chapter 5 Computer Drive West, Suite 100, Albany , NY 12205 in Norman's memory.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 4:00 pm, at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, New York, calling hours will precede the service from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
