Roscoe served in the U. S. Army. He enjoyed all sports, playing both college basketball and baseball for Gaston Tech, where he received his training in electrical engineering. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He coached baseball and football in his later years. He enjoyed country and gospel music.
Surviving are his three sons, Charles (April) Galloway, Tony (Cindy) Galloway both of Etowah, North Carolina and Chris Galloway of Ashland, Oregon; brother, Bill (Marvita) Galloway, of Rosman, North Carolina; sister, Madrie Galloway McRainey, of Gastonia, North Carolina; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Military Honors will be provided by the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
