Charles Esteze Babb, 41, died at the hospital at the Kansas Ordinance Plant in Parsons following an accident which occured at the plant at approximately 7:30 p.m., Saturday night, June 30. Electric truck which he was driving fell, crushing him beneath it.
Mr. Babb had worked at the plant for three years. Before going to the K.O.P. he was employed by the Northeast Oklahoma railroad. He was warehouse foreman at the K.O.P. and also a driver of one of the electric trucks.
Mr. Babb was born August 16, 1903, in Columbus, and had resided here all his life, excluding three years spent in Morocco, Indiana, following his marriage to Miss Eva Mack on August 24, 1929. He was reared by Mrs. Sadie Gilbert of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife and six children, Charles Jr., Edwin, Suzanne, Louis [sic], Sarah Mae and Melvin Lee; his father Ed Babb of Decatur, Ill., his mother Mrs. Daisy Parks Babb in Missouri, and three uncles, Harry Babb, Columbus, Grover Babb, St. Joseph, Mo., and Jim Parks in Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Rhuland Funeral Home, conducted by Morton Woodward. Interment was in the Edgman cemetery.

Ramp at Ordnance Plant.
Columbus, Kan., July 2.— Injured by an electric motor truck Saturday at the Kansas ordnance plant at Parsons, where he was employed, Charlea Esteze Babb died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night.
Babb was driving the electric motor on a ramp between two buildings when the truck fell from the platform and he was fatally crushed.
A lifelong resident of Columbus, he was 41 years old. He leaves his Widow, Mrs. Eva Mack Babb, and six children, Charles Esteze, jr., Edwin, Suzanne, Lois, Sarah May and Melvin Lee Babb, all of Columbus.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Ruhland chapel by Morton Woodward. Burial will be in Edgman cemetery.
