Tecumseh resident John Hogue died Monday, May 21, in Tecumseh at the age of 31.
He was born Oct. 20, 1975, in Shawnee to Johnnie Lee Hogue and Carol Ann Villines. He was a lifelong resident of Shawnee and Tecumseh. He graduated from Tecumseh High School.
John was a self-employed tile setter. He enjoyed golf, fishing and hunting.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Bob Villines, Johnie Leister and Francis Hogue.
Survivors include his son, Caden Standlee of Prague; mother and step-father, Carol and Ron Leister of Tecumseh; father and step-mother, Johnnie and Jana Hogue of Tecumseh; brothers, Brandon Lee Hogue of Tecumseh, Jeremy Allen Hogue of Missouri, Cody Leister of Shawnee, Darrin Stephens of Maud and Jarod Hile of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Miranda Leister of Shawnee, Tiffany Hile of Shawnee and Brittany Collier of Tecumseh; grandmothers, Mary Villines of Tecumseh and Joyce Leister of Prague; numerous friends and other family members.
Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chad Brodrick and the Rev. Robert Ingram officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery.
