SANTA FE – Mr. Randall Lee Rife passed from this life Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in Texas City.
Born January 12, 1952 in Harlingen, TX, Mr. Rife had been a resident of Santa Fe for 4 years, previously of Texas City. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during Vietnam before becoming a Warranty Administrator for Cook Ford in Texas City. Randall attended Memorial Lutheran Church in Texas City, was a member of the NRA, an avid gun fanatic and a strong Republican. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles and loved his best friend “LuLu”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie Texas and Mary Lou (Markowsky) Rife; son, Randall Lynn Rife; nephews, Justin Preston and Ronald L. Rife, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Jackie Lynn Rife; sons, Jay Rife and wife, Tracy, Jordan Rife, Jonathan Rife and fiancée Bethany Shoemaker; daughter, Amanda Jean Trout and husband, Chris Gordy; brother, Ronald Rife, Sr. and wife, Lanette; sister, Kathy Hampton and husband, Anthony; nephews, Eric Patterson, Keith Patterson, Kevin Patterson, Billy Rife; grandchildren, Jaleigh Rife, Trinity Rife, Trenton Rife, Taylor Rife and lifelong friend Bobby Armstrong.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Reverend C. Wayne Clement officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Armstrong, Jason Moody, Eric Patterson, Keith Patterson, Kevin Patterson and Billy Rife. Honorary pallbearer will be Bob Searcy.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
