Emma LaVerda (Pesterfield) Hendrix, age 81, of Canyonville, OR, passed away at her home on September 18, 2018.Emma was born to the late Charles Marshall Pesterfield and Lera Irene (Gilmore) Pesterfield on March 5, 1937 in Tillamook, Oregon.
Emma is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lavern Hendrix; and their three children, Teresa Gregory and husband Dennis Gregory of Roseburg, Daniel Hendrix and wife Kelly of Madras, and Roy Hendrix and wife Fely of Portland. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will take place at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Canyonville on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Canyonville Seventh Day Adventist Church in Canyonville or the American Cancer Society.
