BOY IS FATALLY
SHOT XMAS DAY
George Adair, 16 year old son of
William Adair, residing near Bruce
Lake, was fatally shot with, his own
gun while out hunting yesterday
about noon. The shot entered the
lower part of the abdomen and the
lad suffering great pain, lived until
5 o'clock last evening, when death
relieved his pain.
The father and son had been hunting
and returned to a point near the
home. The father entered the house
and the boy remained on the outside
saying he would be in shortly. He
was standing on a stump and as his
ears were cold, he rested his gun on
the stump to pull down his cap The
gun slipped and as it fell, the hammer
of the gun struck the stump and
he gun was discharged.
The father heard the boy's cry of
pain and rushed to his side, to find
him bleeding from a terrible, gaping
wound. The lad was still conscious
He was able to tell how the accident
happened. A physician was summoned
but his skill was unavailing and
he boy died five hours after the shoot-
ing. Funeral services will be held
Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from
