Pemberton, Richard J. 77 of Harborview Apartments died Saturday in Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence the son of the late Caleb and Margaret (Goulding) Pemberton. Richard was a painter for Pemberton Painting Co., and also spent many years working on oil fields in Saudi Arabia. He was a member of the American Legion Post 311 Seekonk, Fraternal order of the Eagles in East Providence serving as past-president and past state-president, and also a member of the East Providence Elks Lodge No.2337. Richard is survived by his sister Lorraine Guay of Riverside and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Pemberton and Audrey Ryan.
