James Bacon, Long Ill, Dies Friday
James Bacon, aged 78 years, one of the pioneer residents of Mifflin Township, died at 3 o'clock this morning at his home on Munhall Terrace, after a short illness. He was born in Maine and was a resident of Mifflin Township for almost half a century and had a wide circle of friends in this vicinity. He was a plasterer by trade and retired some years ago. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Bacon, two sons, John Bacon, at home, Edward Bacon, of Kokomo, Ind., two daughters, Mrs. Harry Beason, of Duquesne, and Mrs. Joseph Tarr, of Munhall Terrace. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Funeral of James Bacon on Monday
The funeral services of James Bacon, 78, an aged resident of Mifflin township, who died in his home on Munhall Terrace will be held at 2:30 o'clock next Monday afternoon.
Mr. Bacon was a veteran of the Civil War and had a host of friends in this vicinity.
Rev. J. H. Douds, pastor of the United Presbyterian church of Homestead will officiate. Interment will be made in Homestead cemetery. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
