Samuel Prentice Bell, 60, of 918 West Sixth Avenue, died early this morning in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was an employee of John Morrell & Co. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Bell, a daughter, Ida Mack Bell, and a son, Samuel P. Bell, Jr., all of the home address; four sisters, Mrs. Young Roady, Richmond; Mrs. Cora Mellinger, Mrs. Erie Hothan and Carla Bell, all of Topeka; and a brother, O.V. Bell, Havilland. Funeral services will be at the Wall-Diffenderfer mortuary Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in Scranton cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the funeral hour.
