Archie Brown Abner, 82, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. He was born November 21, 1936 in Booneville, Kentucky, son of the late Isaac and Myrtle (Gabbard) Abner.
Archie was a veteran of the US Army during Korea. He was a member of the Korean War Veterans and worked for the City of Greendale.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Abner; two sons: Randy (Nina) Abner of Lawrenceburg, IN and Perry Abner of Aurora, IN; three daughters: Vivian (Jim) Beckmeyer of Dillsboro, IN, Cindy (Dean) Loos of Harrison, OH and Jody (Bob) Ogles of Manchester, IN; four sisters: Lucy (Bob) Belew of Milan, IN, Barb (Don) Waller of Lawrenceburg, IN, Alice (Tom) Burns and Geraldine Dobbins of Dunnellon, FL; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Abner; mother, Myrtle Abner; and two brothers: Pete Gabbard and Paul Abner.
Services entrusted to Fitch-Denney Funeral Home.
Interment in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
