Dorothy Louise Minter Clark, widow of William Clarence Clark, went to Heaven on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the age of 94.
She was a wonderful wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Dorothy was a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church, where she enjoyed teaching children in Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by her sons, David and wife, Carol, and Glenn and wife, Sally. Dorothy is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Matthew Clark and wife, Kimberly, Ben Clark and wife, Diana, Luke Clark and wife, Arianne, Andréa Shore and husband, Rob, and Jake Clark and wife, Carmen; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Kathryn and Brandon, Rebecca, Ivélisse and Sam, Britney, Samantha, Jaiden, Zeke, Mirielle and Jessica. Her survivors include her one remaining sister, Helen Wright; brothers, Billy Minter and wife, Jerry, and Jacky Minter and wife, Hettie; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Elizabeth Thornton, Willard Minter, Dewey Minter, Clyde Minter, Clifford Minter and Irene Adkins.
The Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Oakey’s East Chapel. Burial will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
