Aaron Joseph Areaux Sr. passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018 at the age of 91.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Millie Orgeron Areaux; his parents Penny Bordelon Areaux and Walter Areaux; and his son Aaron Joseph Areaux Jr.

Aaron is survived by his daughter Denise Hauer (Michael) and his son Richard J. Areaux (Pat).

Paw-Paw will be sadly missed by his grandchildren; Christopher Hauer, Michelle Hauer Bourgeois (Jason), Dawn Areaux O’Donnell (Brian) and the late Tracy Dahlgreen. Great grandchildren; Gideon David Bourgeois, Alexander Argueta and Layla O’Donnell.

Brother of the late Raymond Areaux, Vance Areaux, Andrew Areaux, Harold Areaux and Bessie Areaux Campo.

Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Aaron enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favorite hobby was playing cards at the casino. Aaron retired from U.S. Customs after working with them for over 30 years.

Interment in St. Roch Cemetery #2.
