Wife of John Henry Montgomery

Mrs. Eliza E. Bishop, wife of John Montgomery, passed away May 18th at the Mary McClellan Hospital, after an illness of ten days.
She was born in Vermont in 1868, the daughter of Arp and Charlotte Herrington Bishop. She was a student of Burr & Burton Seminary, Manchester, and later received her education at the Putnam Institute of Cambridge.
In April 1891, she married John H. Montgomery, who survives, together with two daughters, Mrs. Leon Kent and Miss Erma Montgomery, both of Cambridge, and one son, George A. Montgomery of Arden, N.Y., three grandchildren, Albert and Marshall Kent of Cambridge and Hazel Montgomery of Arden. Also one sister, Mrs. Nelson Walsh of Schenectady, N.Y.
The funeral services, which were private, were conducted from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kent, on West Main Street, Saturday afternoon, Rev. John Lytie officiated. Interment was in the family plot in Woodlands Cemetery.
Although Mrs. Montgomery had been in failing health for a number of years, her sunny disposition enabled her to welcome her many friends at all times, and all mourn her passing.
