Gaston Turner Lister was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was born with syndactyle of both hands. He had shortened forearms with two fingers on one hand and 3 on the other. However this never stopped him from doing anything he wanted, including being sheriff of Maysville, driving cattle across land to Chickasha, Oklahoma, and being the school bus driver for the elementary school in Maysville, OK. He was also the janitor of the Maysville school system for 50 odd years. He retired from bus driving in 1960 at age 70.

He was the son of Jeptha Turner and Martha Jane Ward Lister. He was the husband of Freda Belle Colley and they were married in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 7, 1918. They had 10 children. He was my 1st cousin twice removed.
