He had owned and operated Ronart Aluminum Inc., Rock Island. He was president before his retirement. He was a member of the Optimist Club, Rock Island. Survivors include the widow; daughters, Pam Adams, Rock Island, and Carol Albut, New York; and sons, Gary, Rodger and James, all of New York.

A memorial service for Arthur Adams, who died October 19, 1987, following a long illness will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 1, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Mr. Adams, 78, a former Fairport resident, had lived in Rock Island, Illinois.
He had been employed at Trescott Company for many years and had also worked at Air Seal Jarl Extrusion in East Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Denese, of 2201 25th Street Rock Island; his daughters, Pamela of Rock Island, Carol Alvut of Penfield; his sons, Gary of Shortsville, James of Lindley, Roger of Old Forge; his brother, Robert of Ontario; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Rock Island.
