Ralph Joseph Schulte, Sr., 80, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on May 22, 2007. He was born June 9, 1926 in Waukon, Iowa. Ralph was a builder in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for 30 years and then moved to Scottsdale where the family has resided for the last 23 years. Ralph was a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jane; son Ralph, Jr. (Michelle); daughters Debbie, Jennifer, Sue (Greg); grandchildren Brooke, Abby, Olivia, Joshua, Gregory, and Samantha; brothers Greg, Don, Andy, and James; sister Katherine; and a wealth of family and friends. Ralph's love for his family was evident in all of the major home construction that he provided, especially for his children. His faith was unbending and he led by example, never missing a weekly Mass. Ralph will be remembered as an honest, straight-talking man who loved to socialize with family and friends. He is loved and will be missed. A family visitation and Rosary were held Thursday, May 24 at Messinger Mortuary in Scottsdale. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. today, Friday, May 25 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3801 N. Miller Road, Scottsdale. A procession to St. Francis Cemetery will take place following the Funeral Mass for a brief graveside service.
