Helen Mildred Alexander Greenstreet, proud Texan, was born on August 4, 1930, in Dallas, Texas to Edwin D. and Helen (Brodrick) Alexander. She grew up with two sisters, Margery, and Virginia. A graduate of North Dallas High School in 1947 and from Hockaday Junior College in 1949. She graduated Southern Methodist University, class of 1951, and joined the Iota Alpha chapter of the Chi Omega fraternity. Her roommate, and later Maid of Honor, Mary Elizabeth, set Mildred and John R. Greenstreet, a native Tulsan, up on a blind date. Mildred and John were married on February 1, 1952 in Perkins Chapel, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage in 2015.
After graduation, John attended night law school and worked at Proctor & Gamble in Dallas. They followed P & G to Cincinnati, Ohio, where the Greenstreets formed lifelong friendships with their neighbors, played in the snow, in the woods, and were always accompanied by Smokey the dog. They moved to Tulsa to be closer to John's family, where they resided permanently. Mildred later worked as a financial analyst at Occidental Petroleum, lived for tax season, and was known for her tenacity and ability to "Greenstreet 'em" when filing complicated 1099's.

In retirement, Mildred and John traveled extensively. Mildred loved genealogy and was an active member and leader of the Oklahoma Society of Mayflower Descendants. Mildred was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, attended the Friendship-Wesley Class, and rang in the bell choir for many years. She was a long-time Tax Aide volunteer at the Tulsa Library, and a regular in the pool and gym of the St. John Health Club, and OMM Wellness Center. Mimi treasured her grandchildren, and encouraged them to pursue higher education.
Mildred passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 1, 2018. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Greenstreet, in 2015, and her sister, Margery Alexander Williams in 2017. She is survived by her sister, Virginia (Kenneth) Broughton; son, Robert (Bonnie) Greenstreet; daughter, Lisa (Tom) Weatherholt; and son, John C. (Doris) Greenstreet; and six grandchildren, Alexis, John Morgan, and James Greenstreet, and Ellen, Laura and Daniel Weatherholt.

A memorial service will be at 2 pm on Friday, December 14th, in the Fleming Center at Oklahoma Methodist Manor, 4134 E. 31st Street. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to The Little Lighthouse Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
