Death Claims Frank X. Bell
Frank X. Bell, 88, of Twelve Mile, lifetime resident of Cass county, expired at 12:55 p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital, where he had been confined for the past week. His death followed an illness of one year.
A native of Cass county, he was born in Noble township on June 21 1867, the son of William H. and Elmira (Stephenson) Bell. He was married on Christmas Day in 1888 to Irene Stephen. She died March 4, 1938.
A retired Clay township farmer, he moved to Twelve Mile in 1913, when he retired. He was a member of the Twelve Mile EUB church.
He leaves a son, Tom, of route 5, city; three daughters, Mrs. Nanette Kingerly of Fulton, Miss Rachel Bell of Twelve Mile, and Mrs Florence Coons, 1133 Pleasant Hill; Eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Anne Butterworth, 215 Fifteenth street.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at the residence in Twelve Mile and last rites will be held a 2 p.m. Monday at the Twelve Mile EUB church. The Re. Harry Read assisted by the Rev. Clyde Abbott will officiate and burial will be at the Bethel cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church to lie in state for an hour before the service. The Ditmire funeral home, Fulton is in charge of arraignments.
