RAVENNA — Lulu Belle Hyde, 82, passed away peacefully of natural causes into eternal life on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

On Jan. 7, 1936, in Grand Rapids, Mich., John Franklin and Mary Gertrude Claypool Hoskins were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Lulu.

Lulu married the love of her life, Frederic Leroy Hyde, on Nov. 27, 1956, and they were blessed with 61 years of marriage together before his passing on Dec. 21, 2017.

Lulu had lived in Ravenna for 23 years and was formerly of Newton Falls. She enjoyed knitting, taking care of the family, and spending time with the grandchildren.

Memories of Lulu will be carried on by her loving family: her five daughters, Kathy (Steven) Mollick of Newton Falls, Susan (John) Sprankle of Niles, Mary (Steve) Novak of Niles, Teresa (Jay) Byrne of Vienna and Carol (Edward) Morgan of Ravenna; her three sons, Frederic Leroy (Cheryl) Hyde Jr. of Grant, Mich., Robert Hyde of Pierson, Mich., and Alan H. Hyde of Ravenna; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lulu was preceded in death by her four brothers and two sisters.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec.14, 2018, at the funeral home.

Lulu will be laid to rest with her husband in Newton Falls Cemetery.
