Funeral services for William "Bill" David Johnson, age 97, of Eldridge, were held Friday, November 9, 2001 at 2 p.m. from the McGraw Memorial Chapel of Miles Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. He was a lifelong resident of Fayette County, a miner and a retired self-employed logger. Survived by his wife of 70 years, three sons, two daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
