PENNSBORO — Mona M. Riddle, age 98, of Pennsboro, WV, departed this life on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Carehaven of Pleasants County.
She was born on July 14, 1920, in Ritchie County, WV, a daughter of the late Ed and Ella Carder Ross.
Mona had worked at the Pennsboro Garment Factory and the Bluebird Restaurant. She loved cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by one son, Keith A. Riddle (Brenda); grandchildren, Steve Riddle, Christian Varga and Julia Strakal and great-grandchildren, Blake Riddle, Olivia Strakal and Nora Strakal, Aidan Varga and Keira Varga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ashford Riddle; son, David M. Riddle; brothers, Glen Ross and Carl Ross and sisters, Zelma Broadwater, Vera Shomo, June Monroe and Estalee May.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at McCullough Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with Pastor Jason Fillmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Harmony Masonic Cemetery, Pennsboro. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 4:30-8 p.m.
