Elizabeth was reared and attended school in Maine. She was united in marriage to Ray Potter on May 5, 1945 and to this union six children were born, two of whom survive her. They made their home in Maine by the Kettering Naval Base were Ray was stationed. They later moved to Buffalo, MO where they ran the Potter’s Gas Station for several years. Elizabeth later went to work for Teter’s Flowers in Bolivar. She met and married George Lentz in 1974 and they made their home near Buffalo, Missouri. Elizabeth loved going to yard sales, doing crossword puzzles, and putting jigsaw puzzles together.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband George; four children, George Potter, Robert Potter, Raymond Potter, and Linda Potter; two brothers, Phillip Fuller and Vern Fuller; and her sister, Dorothy Hatch. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth & husband William Dittmar of Buffalo, MO and Shirley & husband Larry Bell of Ozark, MO; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves her adopted family, Jay & Carla Kuhns and their children and grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Buffalo. Escorts will be Josh Bell and Austin Bell. Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Compasus.
